How to Build a Simple Skin Care Routine for Healthy Skin

The Principle of Simplified Skincare

Many patients use too many products, which irritates the skin and weakens the skin barrier. A basic, high-performance skincare routine requires only three steps: Cleanse, Moisturize, and Protect.

Morning Routine (AM)

  1. Cleanse: Use a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser to wash away oil and sweat accumulated overnight without stripping your skin.
  2. Moisturize: Apply a lightweight moisturizer containing ceramides or hyaluronic acid to lock in hydration.
  3. Protect: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 and PA+++. This is the single most important step to prevent dark spots and wrinkles.

Evening Routine (PM)

  1. Cleanse: Double cleanse if you wore physical sunscreen or makeup to ensure pores are completely clear.
  2. Treat (Optional): Apply targeted treatments prescribed by your dermatologist, such as topical retinoids.
  3. Restore: Apply a slightly richer moisturizer to support the skin's natural repair cycle as you sleep.
